Help Us Transform Nursing and Midwifery Education in Kurdistan

Our Most Urgent Need: Sustainable Funding

To keep the Nursing and Midwifery Development Center (NMDC) operating—and training up to 7,000 healthcare professionals each year—we urgently need reliable funding. It costs $200,000 annually to sustain the NMDC’s faculty, equipment, and life-saving curriculum.

Simply put: without funding, this impact stops.

At the Nursing & Midwifery Development Foundation (NMDF), our top priority is to ensure this work continues—year after year—and to secure its future for generations to come.

Why You Matter

The building now stands, but the work must endure. The Nursing and Midwifery Development Foundation, a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, seeks to establish a permanent endowment to fund NMDC faculty, equipment, and life-saving curriculum.

An endowment is more than a gift; it is a living legacy that will sustain the NMDC in perpetuity. We invite you to join this consecrated tradition. Together, we can ensure more mothers return home with their babies in their arms—for generations to come.

Impact of your gift:

  • $29 – Provide a training course for one nurse or midwife

  • $300 – Train 10 nurses in lifesaving skills

  • $1,000 – Fund 35 nurses or midwives to take lifesaving courses

  • $30,000 – Educate 1000 nurses or midwives

Consider a larger gift to help us create an endowment - support the NMDC in perpetuity!
