RISE Global Health Educators Network

Reach, Inspire, Support, Empower

The RISE Global Health Educators Network is a cornerstone program of the Nursing and Midwifery Development Foundation that brings healthcare professionals from around the world to train and mentor providers in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. RISE strengthens skills, expands capacity, and supports lasting improvements in healthcare.

RISE stands for Reach, Inspire, Support, Empower—our guiding values as we partner with the Nursing and Midwifery Development Centre (NMDC) to deliver high-impact training to the region’s next generation of healthcare providers.

Through the RISE Network, the NMDF connects experienced nurses, midwives, and healthcare professionals from around the world with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. As NMDF’s cornerstone program, RISE brings global experts to volunteer for short- and long-term service, working alongside local providers to strengthen training, expand skills, and build lasting capacity. This network will become a vital channel for advancing healthcare education and improving outcomes for mothers, children, and communities, reflecting NMDF’s enduring commitment to sustainable health systems.

The NMDF invites nurses, midwives, and other health professionals to join the RISE Global Health Educators Network, a program dedicated to building local capacity in Iraqi Kurdistan through education and mentorship. Click here to see current opportunities and to apply.
